The Communities In Schools Washington network is looking to fill six VISTA positions recently awarded by the federal program. As reported in a previous post the program, with help from the economic stimulus plan, expanded its ranks by 10,000 additional one-year positions.
Communities In Schools VISTAs will work for affiliate offices in Renton, Seattle, Tacoma, Kent, Puyallup, Whatcom County and on the Key Peninsula. VISTAs will work to build and manage programs, recruit and organize community volunteers, support communications and public relations work, and help plan fundraisers and community events.
