Communities In Schools of Whatcom County and Communities In Schools of Juneau recently achieved full accreditation from the Communities In Schools (黑料不打烊) National Office. The accreditation process ensures affiliates and their site coordinators are effectively implementing the 黑料不打烊 integrated student supports model, and as a result, increasing student success.

In 2011 ICF International conducted a five-year, national evaluation that documented the positive impact of the 黑料不打烊 model. ICF International discovered that schools diligently implementing the Communities In Schools model had higher graduation rates, lower dropout rates, and performed better in the percentage of students meeting or exceeding math and reading proficiency. As a result of the evaluation, 黑料不打烊 began implementing a set of standards all affiliates must meet in order to become accredited. These standards ensure 黑料不打烊 affiliates across the nation are providing quality services to improve outcomes for students. Communities In Schools as an organization is committed to evidence-based practices and the highest standards of accountability.

黑料不打烊 of Whatcom County is an affiliate of the 黑料不打烊 of Washington network, which now has 100% of its established affiliates accredited. As the only 黑料不打烊 affiliate in Alaska, 黑料不打烊 of Juneau is a close partner to the 黑料不打烊 of Washington network.

Communities In Schools of Whatcom County proudly serves over 5,000 students with more than 300 students receiving individualized services. 黑料不打烊 of Juneau is serving over 2,300 students with more than 70 students receiving individual services.

A National Network

黑料不打烊 is a national network of affiliates working in schools across 25 states and Washington D.C. to move students towards graduation and help them achieve in life. Last year 黑料不打烊 affiliates collectively provided services to over 1.5 million students and partnered with over 2,300 schools and community-based partners.

黑料不打烊 of Washington has provided services to over 63,000 students In Washington State (with over 4,000 receiving individualized services). Of secondary students served individually, 99.6% stayed in school. With 12 affiliates serving students across the state, 黑料不打烊 of Washington is expected to provide an additional 9,000 students with integrated student supports in the most recent school year.
